Spring is in the air and all of the spring sports are underway. Congratulations to our newly crowned basketball state champs!

Although it’s only March, it’s not too early to start thinking about summer and all that is has to offer. Coaching School is in Fort Worth July 24-27. We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary as an organization and are planning lots of great events for the week. The THSCWA Headquarters will be at the Renaissance Worthington Hotel. It’s just a few short blocks from the Fort Worth Convention Center and in the heart of downtown Fort Worth. We will have some really fun breakout sessions, a wonderful luncheon with a great speaker and of course some out of this world bingo games. If you’ve never played bingo with this group you are truly missing out!

If you’d like to be on the planning committee for Coaching School we would love to have your help. The more involved, the greater the event can be. Please contact your Regional Director and let her know that you would like to be involved. For those of you who live in the DFW area we would LOVE to have your help. Let’s show the ladies of Texas some great DFW hospitality. Please contact Theresa Miller – Region 3 Director.

Look for details about Coaching School in next month’s issue. Be sure and start collecting your door prizes for our sessions and our bingo games.

With Coaching School just around the corner it’s time for seniors to be turning in their applications for the THSCSWA Scholarships. We award two $1000 scholarships to coaches kids. Scholarship requirements and submission instructions are posted HERE and are due May 1st.

Along with the scholarships each year we honor a very special lady as the Woman of the Year. Do you know someone who should be honored? This is a great way to honor a special member of THSCWA and show your appreciation for the many things she has done for her family, her coaching staff, the team and the community. Nominations can be submitted by coaches or by another member of THSCWA. Nominees should be members of THSCWA for at least five years. Please forward your nomination letter to me at mrs.coach@live.com or to 1906 Campfire Court, Lewisville, TX 75067.
